Married On the High Seas
Chapter 9- Unfinished
Sequel to Love On the High Seas. Sybil is now married to pirate Captain Tom Branson and ready to travel the seas with him. But life as a pirate won’t always be easy, with both The Soap and the Navy on their trail Sybil’s going to need to learn how to fight with a sword and a gun.
The Peerage System (Season 1)
Sir Richard Carlisle: Lady Painswick.
Lady Rosamund: Lady Rosamund.
Sir Richard Carlisle:I’m sorry. I’ll get these things sorted out before too long.
Had Sir Richard been familiar with Burke’s Peerage, he’d have known that Lady Rosamund had only retained her curtesy title upon marrying, to which she was entitled as the daughter of an Earl, but not as the wife of a “commoner”.
By the same token, Sybil remained Lady Sybil, but would not become Lady Branson, nor would she ever be called Lady Sybil Branson.
Cora, on the other hand, would never be called Lady Cora, her father having been a commoner. Her claim to a title is through her husband, who is an Earl, thus she is Lady Grantham, never Lady Cora, or Lady Crawley. The same applies to Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham.
Robert Crawley’s title while his father, the fourth Earl of Gratham, had been alive, was most likely Viscount Downton.
this so fanfastic!
Sybil Crawley had always wanted to do Doctors Without Borders; so when the chance comes along to spend the summer working in their Guatemalan location so leaps at the chance. She’s prepared for a boring summer involving mostly work and a few sights when she meets journalist Tom Branson, foreign correspondent for the Guardian. The two strike an easy friendship that quickly turns into more, but as the summer comes to an end will things for Tom and Sybil end here or will this summer fling become so much more?
It isn’t his ideal job but it’s an actual newspaper, even if it’s a conservative one. The goal was to make enough of a name for himself to jump to a paper that he wouldn’t cringe to be associate with. That is, until he meets the boss’s youngest daughter, Sybil Crawley. An aspiring photographer on a mission to prove her skill to both her father and herself, the two quickly finds themselves working together to make their dreams comes true. But as Tom and Sybil climb the corporate ladder will they come together or fall to pieces?
This is going to seem really strange, but do any of the downstairs staff wear a cross or is religious in any way in canon?
Does anyone know? Please… I’m begging for an answer…
I would have put this in your askbox but I couldn’t find it.
In S2 Anna & Bates go to Church to pray together and in S3 when Branson has a daughter makes it clear he wants to raise her Catholic.
Hope that answers your question.
